On June 27, HCSS director of research Tim Sweijs chaired a roundtable on “Debating the Future of War” at the 7th Annual Conference of the European Initiative for Security Studies (EISS). On day 2 of the conference, Sweijs also took part in a session about “Maritime security in the Indo-Pacific: perspectives from the EU”, where he presented recent HCSS research on “Guarding the Maritime Highways: Europe’s Role in the Indo-Pacific”.
