The world is in flux, global players are shifting the balance of power, and instability is on the rise. But, what’s next? How will the socio-political situation develop? How will environmental and economic factors affect socio-political instability? Which regions will be affected most? To find out, HCSS surveys over 500 international think-tankers from every corner of the globe. The results are processed in our Socio-Political Instability Monitor.

The Socio-Political Instability Monitor
The HCSS Socio-Political Instability Monitor assesses conflict probabilities for the upcoming month, six months, and twelve months. We repeat the survey three times a year, granting us insights into developments over time. Your expert input strengthens our modelling of socio-political instability on a large scale and supports our efforts in risk assessment and mitigation.
Taking part in the survey
After you complete the survey, we will inform you of the results via a factsheet (Observer). If you fill in all three surveys in a year, we will send you a book out of a series of five. Each year, you will receive an invitation to an online seminar reflecting on the conclusions of the survey and monitor!
