Subject Matter Expert Peter Wijninga in het nieuws: over de F-35 en de dood van Al-Baghdadi

Defensiespecialist en HCSS Subject Matter Expert Peter Wijninga had deze week het volgende te zeggen over de reden achter de Nederlandse investering in de F-35 bij NU.nl: “De afschrikwekkende werking van de F-35’s speelt een grote rol”.

Ook bij RTL Nieuws gaf Wijninga commentaar over de aanschaf van de Joint Strike Fighter. “De insteek is van begin af aan geweest om geen traditioneel vliegtuig te bouwen. Maar echt vooruit denken: hoe gaat oorlog zich ontwikkelen? Het is een heel bijzonder vliegtuig geworden.”

Verder sprak Peter bij BNR over de dood van Islamitische Staat leider Al-Baghdadi. Wijninga vermoedt dat IS nu zal proberen te laten zien dat ze sterk genoeg zijn om deze klap in hun leiderschap te doorstaan.
