Meet GINA – Data-Driven Geopolitics

As global tensions fluctuate and alliances shift, understanding the complexities of international relations is more crucial than ever. Join us for the online event where we discuss GINA (Geopolitical Interactive Network Analysis), a suite of data driven analytical tools developed by The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) Datalab that models diplomatic, information, military, and economic interactions across states.

What to Expect:

  • Why GINA? Discover the vision behind GINA and why advanced analytical tools are essential in today’s geopolitical landscape.
  • What is GINA? Get an in-depth look at how GINA integrates data from diplomatic, informational, military, and economic spheres to provide a multidimensional perspective on global interactions.
  • How We Built GINA: Learn about the methodologies and technologies that power our suite of tools.

Introducing the GINA Series:

  • GINA Diplomatic: Analyse global diplomatic engagements by comparing voting patterns and speech behaviours on an international level.
  • GINA Information: Focuses on information flows by analysing news and social media data to understand global narratives and influence. Coming September 2024.
  • GINA Military: Explore military interactions through event-based conflict analysis and arms trade behaviours between nations.
  • GINA Economic: Examine global economic relationships by analysing trade and foreign direct investment between countries.

Why Attend?

Whether you are part of an organisation, government, or simply interested in geopolitics, this online event offers valuable insights into how data-driven tools like GINA can enhance decision-making, inform policy development, and promote international stability.

Join us for an interactive demonstration of the different monitors the HCSS Datalab has created, which will be followed by a Q&A session.

Register for this event on this Eventbrite page.
