July 7, 2017

As a result of the First Full GCSC Meeting in Tallinn, the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace (GCSC) issued a set of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the first Research Project on the Public Core of the Internet.

This project consists of five lots:

  • 1A – Defining the Public core of the Internet
  • 1B – Identifying Internet-Accessible Critical Information Infrastructures
  • 1C – Overview of Cyber Diplomatic Initiatives;
  • 1D – Overview of Cyber Norms in Theory and Practice;
  • 1E – Protecting the Core

The RFPs are published on the email platform of the Research Advisory Group. Institutions that are a member of one of the email lists of the Research Advisory Group can respond with proposals. The subscription procedure for the Research Advisory Group is explained here.

The winning proposals will receive the funding associated with the RFPs and get involved in the work of the Commission.

More details on the research project and the application procedure are available in the RFPs.

Proposals should be submitted as a single PDF or Word file to cyber@hcss.nl by 17:00 CEST on Friday July 21st, 2017, with “Proposal: GCSC Research Project  1 [specify which lot: A, B, C, D, and/or E]” in the subject line.
