Laura Birkman to speak the fifth General Assembly of the Copernicus Climate Change Service

September 12, 2022

Senior strategic analyst Laura Birkman will speak at the 5th General Assembly of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) on Tuesday the 13th of September. C3S is one of six thematic information services provided by the Copernicus Earth Observation Programme of the European Union. Copernicus is an operational programme building on existing research infrastructures and knowledge available in Europe and relies on climate research carried out within the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP).

Laura will be opening the General Assembly, alongside colleagues, from 13.00 onwards and will discuss the added value of the C3S service for strategic decision-making. She will also remark on the importance of C3S data for developing climate-conflict predictions and it’s potential for addressing climate-related security challenges in the future.
