Joris Teer bij De Dag Podcast: Onze kwetsbaarheid onderzees

De gaslekken in de Nordstream 1 en 2 dreunen nog flink na in Europa. In Nederland worden alle kabels, pijpen en leidingen opnieuw gecheckt volgens energieminister Rob Jetten. En Europa gaat de pijpen extra beveiligen. De kwetsbaarheid is maar al te pijnlijk duidelijk geworden nu de Nordstreampijp waarschijnlijk voorgoed beschadigd is.

De angst dat andere vitale infrastructuur onder water doelwit wordt is voelbaar, ook in ons land. Maar wat ligt er eigenlijk allemaal in de Noordzee? Analist Joris Teer van het Haags Centrum voor Strategische studies schetst wat er in het water dobbert. En volgens hem kan er veel véél beter: een jaar geleden schreef hij al een rapport waarin hij zegt dat de bescherming van gaspijpen, stroomleidingen en datakabels in de Noordzee er vrijwel niet is. En dat vormt een gevaar voor de toekomstplannen op de Noordzee.
