JASON Institute webinar: Patrick Bolder on the impact of COVID-19 on international security

June 25, 2020

On June 25th, Strategic Analyst Patrick Bolder participated in the first webinar of the JASON Institute, “Rethinking international security in a post-pandemic world”, where he spoke about the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the domain of international security.

Over the last couple of months, we have all witnessed the unprecedented tearing down of normalcy by the COVID-19 virus. In this webinar, experts from both the Clingendael Institute and the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) will join us to share their perspective on three sub-themes: the broadening understanding of (inter-)national security, (Re-)Organising international cooperation around global health, and the implications for a military alliance like NATO.

Speakers:

  • Lieutenant-Colonel Patrick Bolder, Strategic Analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies
  • Louise van Schaik, Head of Unit EU & Global Affairs and Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute
