Irina Patrahau to speak at Utrecht University Conference on the Weaponization of the Environment

On May 26th 2023, Utrecht University MA Conflict Studies & Human rights programme will be hosting a Green Conflict Studies Conference on the Weaponization of the Environment. HCSS Strategic Analyst Climate and Energy, Irina Patrahau will be speaking at the event.

What is Green Conflict Studies? This discipline looks beyond simplistic causal associations between climate change and conflict and brings together critical scholarship and knowledge on the connections between climate, the conflict lifecycle and human society. Topics covered by the conference will include; environmental peacebuilding, governance, militarisation and national security among others.
