Frank Bekkers en Bianca Torossian in defensiemagazine Armex over Hybride Dreigingen

Hybride dreigingen zijn één van de belangrijkste veiligheidsuitdagingen waarmee westerse democratieën momenteel worstelen. Hybride dreigingen zijn geregeld in het nieuws, meestal verpakt in specifieke ‘hybride’ fenomenen zoals desinformatie, buitenlandse inmenging bij verkiezingen en cyberaanvallen. Regeringen waarschuwen ons ervoor, instellingen als de NAVO en de EU schrijven beleidsstukken en organiseren symposia en workshops om de impact van hybride dreigingen en de maatregelen daartegen te bespreken. Desalniettemin blijft het bestrijden van hybride dreigingen een veeleisende taak, te meer omdat ze evolueren als gevolg van technologische vooruitgang en nieuwe vormen van hybride campagnes die onze tegenstanders bedenken.
