BNR Digitaal: Paul Verhagen over Facial Recognition

Het is al weken onrustig in Hongkong en het middelpunt in de laatste ontwikkelingen is de gezichtsherkenningstechnologie van China. Maskers en dergelijke zijn nu verboden op straat, je gezicht moet te zien zijn. Maar werkt de technologie eigenlijk wel? Vorig jaar werden in de VS bij een test tientallen Congresleden aangezien voor criminelen. Bij BNR Digitaal spreekt Paul Verhagen, Data Scientist bij het Den Haag Centrum voor Strategische Studies, over de Chinese facial recognition technologie.
