Banking, booking your holiday, filling in tax forms – only a few years ago, we had to stroll to a bank or travel agency to do these things and wield paper and pen. In our increasingly online world, such activities now predominantly take place on the web.
A holiday is a mouse-click away, checking your savings account can be done on your mobile phone. From an efficiency standpoint, this has created great advantages. Yet it also poses new security questions. How do we make sure that our personal information is, or will not be, misused? Such questions also offer new business opportunities for companies providing solutions to secure our online identity.
This HSD-cafe will focus on recent developments in securing online identity and related business opportunities.
First, Irwin Oedayrajsingh Varma from Janus-ID, a company developing new concepts for electronic identities, will give a general introduction and discuss recent developments in online identity.
Next, Martin Dias d’Ullois, Productmanager Authentication&Autorisation at Kennisnet, public ICT partner for the education sector, will present a concrete business case.
Thereafter Hans Rob de Reus from the Ministry of Finance will say something about the “eID Stelsel”. As the lead architect, he is in charge of developing the program together with Dutch businesses.
Johan van Hove, Regional Sales Director BeNeLux & Switzerland from ForgeRock, an identity and access management software corporation, will be the final speaker.
From 17.00 onwards the bar is open for drinks and there will be ample opportunity to network.
