Stephan de Spiegeleire to speak at 15th NATO Operations Research and Analysis Conference

September 15, 2021

The 15th NATO Operations Research and Analysis (OR&A) Conference will take place from October 18 -20, this year’s theme being “Decision Advantage in The Information Age”. The virtual conference will kick off with a keynote address and continue in eight streams: Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Decision Analysis, Strategic Analysis, Modelling & Simulation, Big Data / Advanced Analytics, Wargaming, Operations Assessment and OR&A Methods. HCSS Principal Scientist Stephan de Spiegeleire will speak Monday the 18th of October on ‘Deterrence – We hardly know yet.’

As part of the continuous development of the NATO OR&A Community of Interest, the OR&A Conference will bring together analysts from NATO commands and agencies, national defence analysis and research organisations, centres of excellence, academia, and industry to experience an exciting program with plenty of opportunities for discussion and debate.

The Conference will be open to representatives from all NATO Nations, NATO Organizations, NATO Partnership for Peace Nations and NATO STO Enhanced Opportunity Partners (Australia, Finland, Japan, Sweden).

Registration can be achieved through the events site. Through the online registration, participation will be validated and basic participant’s information will be collected to create a personal account for an event platform app to enhance the virtual conference experience – access to this event platform will only be made available to those that properly register.

At the time of registration, attendees will also be afforded an opportunity to sign up for one of two virtual training opportunities which will be conducted on day three.
