Podcast Atlantische Blik | Patrick Bolder: Ook Nederland zou een zelfstandig space command moeten hebben

Hoog boven onze hoofden is in korte tijd een enorm netwerk van satellieten ontstaan. We zijn ervan afhankelijk geworden voor veel aspecten van ons dagelijks leven denk aan internet, communicatie, navigatie en weersverwachtingen.

Wat gebeurt er als vijandige mogendheden erin slagen delen van dit netwerk uit te schakelen, en wat kunnen we doen om de ruimte veilig te houden? Hoe bereiden de VS en China zich voor op confrontaties in de ruimte?

En wat zijn de Russen van plan met hun geheimzinnige satelliet Kosmos 2553, die zich ongebruikelijk hoog boven de meeste andere satellieten bevindt en misschien zelfs een nucleaire lading aan boord heeft?
