Key Takeaways van het Defence Industry Symposium

March 19, 2025

Op 12 maart 2025 organiseerde HCSS in samenwerking met VNO-NCW en het Ministerie van Defensie de Defense Industry Day, een pre-event van de NAVO-top die op 24 en 25 juni in Den Haag zal plaatsvinden. Toonaangevende experts, beleidsmakers en het bedrijfsleven kwamen samen om te discussiëren over het opschalen van defensie-inspanningen en samenwerken aan een veerkrachtige industrie.

Het was een dag vol waardevolle inzichten, constructieve discussies en nieuwe samenwerkingen:

  • De noodzaak om defensie-inspanningen op te schalen en samen te werken aan een veerkrachtige industrie
  • Innovatie en financiering als sleutel tot een sterke Europese defensiesector
  • Het belang van NAVO-samenwerking om barrières in defensie-inkoop te doorbreken

Inspirerende bijdragen waren er van onder andere Minister van Defensie Ruben Brekelmans, Minister van Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingshulp Reinette Klever, Eurocommissaris Kubilius, en experts van HCSS en TNO.
