On 1 May 2018, The Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI) organized a symposium entitled “Moving Away from Fossil Fuels” at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Including keynote speakers such as Jeroen van der Veer (former CEO of Shell), the symposium informed its audience on the wide-ranging opportunities and threats of the energy transition to the Dutch industry.
During the event, HCSS Strategic Energy Advisor Lucia van Geuns gave a well-received presentation on the uncertainties around the global energy transition. Entitled “Global Energy Transition: preparing for an unpredictable future,” the summary of her presentation can be downloaded here.
