The Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace (GCSC), initiated by HCSS, was present during Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) 102 Montreal. Commissioners Olaf Kolkman and Bill Woodcock were joined by Irina Rizmal and Joseph Lorenzo Hall to engage with the IETF community on the norms that have been proposed so far and policy initiatives that the Commission is currently undertaking. At Black Hat the GCSC will discuss new norms and policies in cyber diplomacy and provide insight into some of the current thinking of the Commission, as well as government, international organizations, and major corporations working on the subject worldwide. Speakers include Jeff Moss, Jane Holl Lute, James Lewis, and Christopher Painter.
The Commission will convene during the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW). The Cyberstability Hearings will take place during the afternoon of 19th September 2018.
