Energietransitie leidt op korte termijn tot hoge olieprijzen

De energietransitie heeft een onverwacht bijeffect: hogere olieprijzen. Dit schrijven Lucia van Geuns en Jilles van den Beukel in het FD. 

Banken zijn, onder maatschappelijke druk, terughoudend geworden met investeren in fossiel. Voor kleine bedrijven die zich specialiseren in het zoeken naar nieuwe velden is de financiering vrijwel geheel weggevallen. Grote bedrijven als Shell blijven, ook nu de olieprijzen weer aantrekken, voorzichtig met het investeren in exploratie en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe velden.
