De Nieuwe Wereld TV: De hele wereld verdient aan Europa | Een gesprek met Jilles van den Beukel

Jurgen Tiekstra in gesprek met energie-expert Jilles van der Beukel over de huidige gascrisis. “Het bestaande verdienmodel gaat eraan.” Hoewel experts er al jaren voor waarschuwen moet Europa nu eindelijk zijn al te grote energie afhankelijkheid erkennen. Omschakelen is echter lastig, vooral midden in een energietransitie. Om deze complexe ontwikkelingen te duiden schoof energie-expert Jilles van der Beukel aan bij DNW gastanchor Jurgen Tiekstra. In hun gesprek laakte hij de slaapwandelaarshouding van Europa in het energiedossier. “In Amerika is altijd groter belang gehecht aan energie onafhankelijkheid,” zegt Van der Beukel: “Europa had beter moeten nadenken over de afhankelijkheid van Rusland.” Gas terugnemen, met Jilles van der Beukel.
