On February 26, Stephan de Spiegeleire moderated a colloquium organized by the Belgian Ministry of Defense on the Future of the Belgian Armed Forces. For this colloquium, a panel of ‘wise pens’ had been asked to write a paper with their views and suggestions on how to re-energize the Belgian defense effort. These ideas were discussed before an audience of the defense organization’s top political and military leaders with representatives of parliament and other stakeholders in attendance.
