Dr. Saeedeh Babaii’s research interests and experience span Philosophy and Ethics of Technology, Philosophy and Ethics of AI, Human/Robot Interaction, Medical Humanities, Philosophy of Medicine, and Ethics of Care. She spent two years in Germany, as a post-doctoral researcher at the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) and the High-Performance Computing Center (HLRS), working in the field of philosophy and ethics of AI where she collaborated in projects on trust, explainability, and transparency of AI and contributed in writing white papers, policy reports, journal articles, and organizing academic and public events. Dr. Babaii received her Bachelor of Science in Physics from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. She did her graduate studies in Philosophy of Science and Technology and completed her doctoral degree at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies. In 2024, Dr. Saeedeh Babaii was selected as one of the “100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics” by WAIE.
