On 28 – 29 November 2007, the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies organised an event with the title Perspectives on the Civil-Military Nexus in Afghanistan and beyond. One of the speakers was Christa Meindersma, Director Conflict Management at HCSS. She discussed the topic Making the Peace and Keeping the Peace: The Hardest Task of All.
