Mini-symposium Innovatie & Smart Defence (NL)

Het Den Haag Centrum voor Strategische Studies (HCSS) organiseert woensdag 16 mei a.s. het mini-symposium Innovatie & Smart Defence.

Daarin is de volgende vraagstelling aan de orde:
Hoe ziet een in verdergaande Europese samenwerking passend model voor innovatie er uit, zodat ook op termijn relevante en hoogwaardige defensiecapaciteiten voor Nederland beschikbaar zijn?

De sprekers zijn: commodore prof. dr. Frans Osinga (hoogleraar Militair Operationele Wetenschappen, Nederlandse Defensie Academie), ir. Jan Mengelers (voorzitter Raad van Bestuur TNO) en prof. dr. Rob de Wijk.

Dit mini-symposium beoogt de verschillende belanghebbenden van het ministerie van Defensie en de krijgsmacht, de politiek, de industrie en de kennisinstituten bij elkaar te brengen om deze aanbevelingen nader te bezien en na te gaan hoe ze in de praktijk kunnen worden gebracht. Hoewel de focus ligt op de concrete situatie in het maritieme militaire domein, is de context defensiebreed. Innovatievermogen en (internationale) samenwerking als basis voor een hoogwaardige en relevante krijgsmacht is evenzeer van belang voor het lucht- en landdomein (en wellicht het ruimte- en cyberdomein).

Locatie is Pulchri Studio, Lange Voorhout 15 te Den Haag. Aanvang 16.00 – 18.00 uur.
