On 30 June 2007, the two Ministers Koenders (Development Cooperation) and Van Middelkoop (Defence) joined HCSS director Rob de Wijk in signing the Treaty of Schokland. Schokland stands for a public event that day, where civil society representatives are invited to sign a number of agreements with the Dutch government.
Our activity is part of a joint initiative to improve international action in fragile states and post-conflict countries, in collaboration with Cordaid, University of Utrecht and the Clingendael Institute. One activity of this initiative includes a joint effort by Cordaid and HCSS to develop a model to simulate planning and implementation of international interventions.
