What is the role of Europe in a world dominated by ever-increasing Sino-American competition? Given Europe’s limited naval capabilities and the geographical vastness of the Indo-Pacific region how can European states like France and the Netherlands best employ their assets?

The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies is pleased to invite you to our latest in-person Europe in the Indo-Pacific Hub event: How can Europe contribute to maritime security in the Indo-Pacific? Dutch-French dialogues on the Indo-Pacific organised together with the Embassy of France in The Hague.

The event will be opened by Amb. Marc Abensour (French Ambassador for the Indo-Pacific) who will provide remarks on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific. Following Amb. Marc Abensour’s intervention, two panel discussions will take place. The panels will discuss Europe’s role in the Indo-Pacific region and avenues for Dutch-French collaboration in the Indo-Pacific.

Note this is an in-person event, taking place in The Hague – it will NOT be streamed online.
