Patrick Bolder in Ruimtevaart-magazine: Geen (Nederlandse) defensie zonder ‘Military Space’?

Daar waar in het verleden alleen landen zoals de Verenigde Staten, Rusland en China een uitgesproken militaire ruimtestrategie hadden, houden tegenwoordig ook andere landen zich hier mee bezig. Onder andere Frankrijk, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Japan hebben inmiddels hun eigen mini ‘ Space Force’. In mei 2020 publiceerde het The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies een Space Alert, waarin verschillende ontwikkelingen in het ruimtedomein aan de orde komen en die verband houden met Nederland. In dit artikel, geschreven door HCSS Expert Patrick Bolder, wordt nader ingaan op de geopolitieke en militaire aspecten van ruimtevaart die in de Space Alert staan, hoe die elkaar beïnvloeden en wat dat voor Nederland kan betekenen.
