Tweede Kamer | Rondetafelgesprek over China

November 24, 2022

De vaste commissie voor Buitenlandse Zaken van de Tweede Kamer houdt op donderdagmiddag 24 november een rondetafelgesprek over onderwerpen met betrekking tot China. HCSS analist Mattia Bertolini geeft om 16:30 een briefing over China in relatie tot andere grootmachten (Engelstalig).

U kunt deze bijeenkomst vanaf 16.30 uur volgen via de livestream en de app Debat Direct.

China in relatie tot andere landen

De commissie heeft deskundigen uit buiten- en binnenland uitgenodigd om deel te nemen. Het gesprek gaat over China in relatie tot andere grootmachten, Europa en Nederland. Ook het beleid van andere landen ten opzichte van China komt aan de orde, evenals mensenrechtenkwesties. Het eerste deel van het gesprek is in het Engels, met genodigden die via een videoverbinding deelnemen. Het tweede deel van het gesprek wordt in het Nederlands gevoerd.

Position Paper: Chips, kritieke grondstoffen en Nederlands-Europese economische veiligheid

Voorafgaand aan het rondetafelgesprek heeft HCSS ter voorbereiding een zogeheten position paper ingeleverd. Deze paper, “Chips, kritieke grondstoffen en Nederlands-Europese economische veiligheid” geschreven door HCSS China analist Joris Teer en Research fellow Mattia Bertolini is te downloaden op de website van het Den Haag Centrum voor Strategische Studies.

Het Rondetafelgesprek China stond eerst gepland op 19 oktober 2022.
