Tom Middendorp to speak at the launch of the 2022 World Climate and Security Report Series

June 1, 2022

On June 7, 2022, from 5 PM CET/ 11 AM ET, the International Military Council on Climate Security’s Expert Group will launch the 2022 World Climate and Security Report Series. The 2022 Series includes three components: 1) climate mitigation needs and opportunities for militaries; 2) climate security risk snapshots of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Sahel, and the Balkans; 3) climate adaptation strategies for the security sector. The 2022 paper series is in close conversation with the NATO Climate Change and Security Action Plan and provides tools to facilitate the implementation of that plan.

HCSS Special Strategic Advisor Tom Middendorp will speak alongside Sherri Goodman, Secretary General of the International Military Council on Climate and Security, and Francois Bausch Luxembourg Minister of Defence.
