Sofia Romansky | ICAI Monthly Seminar

January 15, 2026
Register (Eventbrite)

On the 21st of January, HCSS Strategic Analyst Sofia Romansky will speak at the first ICAI Monthly Seminar of 2026. She will dive deep into how the integration of AI is increasing efficiency across all stages of conflict, from observation and orientation to final action. She will discuss how these benefits can only be realized by balancing automation with human oversight in accordance with international humanitarian law, while addressing how geopolitical competition and diverse application contexts complicate the path to international agreements.

The integration of AI into the military isn’t just about faster tech. It is about the fundamental way decisions are made in times of crisis. Join this session and get insights into:

  • Operational Efficiency: How AI optimizes the cycle from observation to action, fundamentally altering the course of conflict.
  • The Balance of Oversight: The critical need to align military automation with human judgment and international humanitarian law.
  • Geopolitical Hurdles: Why diverse application contexts and global competition make international AI agreements so complex.
