Nieuw rapport: Dutch Investments in ICT and Cybersecurity

Digitalisering van de economie vindt overal ter wereld plaats. Nederland heeft een sterke economie. Steeds meer maken Nederlandse bedrijven en instellingen gebruik van digitalisering van hun bedrijfsprocessen. Dit kan ook omdat Nederland een vooraanstaand ICT land is dat zich promoot als ‘a safe way to do business’. Daarbij heeft Nederland de ambitie om de digitale toegangspoort tot Europa te willen zijn.

Dit rapport brengt in kaart hoe groot de huidige digitale economie van Nederland is en kijkt vooruit naar de toekomst van de digitale economie en de ICT sector. Tevens kijken we naar het niveau van publieke en private investeringen in cybersecurity en de omvang van de cybersecurity markt.

De omvang van de Nederlandse ICT sector groeit en zal dat blijven doen. De verwachting is dat in 2020 zo’n 25% van de Nederlandse economie digitaal is. De investeringen in cybersecurity blijven aan de lage kant en tegelijkertijd is er een grote behoefte aan cybersecurity experts en IoT ontwikkelaars. Als dat wordt ingevuld kom je hoger uit dan de 10% norm die momenteel wordt gepromoot.
