In support of the industry negotiations on the Dutch national climate accord (or ‘agreement’), Strategic Energy Analyst Jan Frederik Braun co-authored the report “Joint Fact Finding: Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)”.
CCS is a central aspect of the decarbonization efforts of the Dutch government. During the second half of 2018, authorities, companies and interest groups have met at five so-called ‘climate tables’ (Electricity, Built Environment, Industry, Agriculture & Land Use, and Mobility) and tried to reach agreements that will result in at least a 49% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030.
