HCSS is excited to announce that Benedetta Girardi has joined as a new Strategic Analyst!
Benedetta’s research interests regard geopolitics, European defence and security policy, and transatlantic relations. She has work previously on the European role in the Indo-Pacific, as well as on integrated air and missile defence and arms control. Before working at HCSS she has been Regulatory Policy Analyst at Reckitt Benckiser, where she focused on matters of sustainability related to the analysis of the European Green Deal and its effects on supply chain.
She holds a MSc in European Affairs (cum laude) from Sciences Po Paris, with a specialization in politics and public policy. Previously, she earned her BA in International Studies (cum laude) at the University of Leiden and McGill University in Canada.
The complex intertwining of security and geopolitics has recently led to the rise of several strategic challenges for Europe. The expertise of HCSS is the key to analyse the root causes of these instabilities and provide policy solutions to the strategic dilemmas that European policymakers are facing. I am thus looking forward to joining HCSS experts and working on matters related to European defence, security policy, and geopolitics.
