The next HSD café will be on Protecting Critical Infrastructure and takes place on 9 June. A comprehensive approach to the protection of critical infrastructures, such as transportation, energy, telecommunication, water supply, food availability, health, banking and the chemical industry, is becoming increasingly important in relation to the functioning of our societies.
Disruption, in any sort, would have a serious impact on the health, safety, security and/or economic well-being of citizens and/or the effective functioning of governments. With the digitilisation of various (industrial) processes and the role governments and private sector play in this field, the security of such infrastructures is becoming increasingly complex. Security measures that were sufficient in the past are running out of steam.
What are the best ways for the public and private sector to cooperate? What are the solutions for the future?
