Boekestijn & De Wijk omarmen de ondergang

De tijd van westerse wereldheerschappij is voorbij. En dat is natuurlijkjammer, maar de grootste problemen ontstaan juist door ons verzet tegen het onvermijdelijke machtsverval: Populistische leiders beloven de terugkeer naar een denkbeeldig verleden, en als we niet uitkijken, leiden de spanningen met China tot een nieuwe wereldoorlog.

Over het programma 

Boekestijn en De Wijk omarmen de aftakeling en onderzoeken hoe we ons verval een beetje ordelijk kunnen managen. Hoe gingen eerdere wereldrijken ten onder? En wat kunnen we leren van de toen gemaakte fouten? Misschien kan het Westen zo toch het hoofd boven water houden en uitzien naar een prettige ouwe dag.

De situatie is hopeloos, maar niet ernstig in de nieuwe eindejaarsshow van Boekestijn en De Wijk, november en december in de theaters. Kom ook en werp samen met Rob en Arend Jan een opgeruimde blik in de afgrond.
