Join us for an online event to explore how Europe can build whole-of-society resilience and civil-military cooperation to face cascading crises.
In an era of overlapping climatic, economic, technological, and geopolitical risks, European resilience requires a whole-of-society approach that bridges governmental, civilian, and private-sector capacities to anticipate, absorb, and recover from strategic shocks. Yet where gaps persist, even capable states risk falling short amid complex, cascading crises.
This webinar will explore what it takes to transform situational resilience into systemic strength across Europe.
Through two panels, report authors and external experts will examine:
- Panel 1: European Resilience – Unpacking the interconnected domains of preparedness, from foresight and vital societal functions to public-private cooperation and crisis response, and identifying where vulnerabilities in one area ripple through the whole system.
- Panel 2: Civil-Military Cooperation and Military Mobility – Exploring how effective civil-military integration acts as a force multiplier, and why military mobility depends on the resilience of civilian energy, transport, and digital infrastructure.
Participants will engage in a dynamic exchange of ideas on addressing structural gaps and strengthening Europe’s collective defences.
This event is aimed at policymakers, defence and security professionals, academics, researchers, and students, offering a platform for informed dialogue on building a more resilient Europe.
