On September 29, HCSS is organizing a high-level discussion on the implications for the West of a multipolar world.
Reinventing the West will focus on the future of Western foreign and security policy priorities, economic policies and the financial system, how to make global governance work and the impact of multipolarity on liberal democracies. A group of strategists from both sides of the Atlantic are brought together to discuss these issues.
They include:
Dr. David Armitage (National Intelligence Council, Washington DC)
Dr. Erik Jones (School of Advanced International Studies, Bologna)
Dr. Tomas Valasek (Centre for European Reform, London)
Dr. Rem Korteweg (The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies)
Gen. Klaus Naumann (Former Chairman NATO Military Committee)
Dr. John C. Hulsman (The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies)
In early October elements of this event will serve as input for the online discussion: Reinventing the West
