In the context of its ‘Security Foresight’ program, HCSS has embarked upon a new project called ‘Missile Threats Against The Netherlands’. Over the next few weeks stakeholders from different backgrounds and walks of life will engage in a collaborative online policy analysis effort. They will generate a set of missile threat scenarios that will be assessed on their likelihood and impact for The Netherlands. They will then identify a series of policy options to deal with those threats and a number of criteria against which these policy options can be assessed. The final stage of this research project will present a trade-off analysis that will weigh the pros and cons of the various options to address the growing trend of missile proliferation.
