Lotje Boswinkel is a Strategic Analyst at HCSS. Prior to joining, she worked as a trainee at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), focusing on the Middle East, the future of war, and the implications of COVID-19 for European foreign policy.
She has co-authored various policy briefs and chapters, such as for the European Parliament, the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and the journal International Affairs. Lotje also completed internships in Amman and Beirut, conducting humanitarian needs assessments in northern Syria and researching the weaponisation of healthcare.
Lotje holds a Master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po in Paris, while her studies at Amsterdam University College and the University of Melbourne earned her a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
