
Daria Goriacheva is an Associate Research Fellow at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies since 2019. She has an MA in Political Science with a specification in German and European Studies from the National University of Kyiv (Mohyla Academy), as well as in Politics from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Daria studied at Central European University and taught International Relations at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. She worked in the fields of Ukraine's post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding (with Institute for Peace and Common Ground / UNICEF) as well as community development and educational reform (Teach for Ukraine). Her primary research interest lies on the intersection of cognitive linguistics and international relations with a specific focus on metaphor in political discourse and cyberdiscourse.
