MH17 – when will the Kremlin respond?

July 18th 2017 - 16:02

On the eve of the third anniversary of the MH17 disaster, relatives staged a silent protest at the Russian Embassy in The Hague. In the park opposite the embassy, they installed a symbolic store of memory, on which a memorial plaque with the inscription "Waiting for responsibility and full clarity" is attached. Below is an inscription in Russian: "Humanity is higher than politics". During an hour, the relatives were sitting in the park. They demanded that Russia "stop playing games", reveal the truth about the tragedy and handed over a written appeal to the Russian embassy.

Ukrainian newspaper ‘Day’ interviewed Sijbren de Jong on some of the next steps in the criminal proceedings. The full article (in Ukrainian) can be read here.
